Biography
Jenny Lamb is a professional actor, singer, musician, physical theatre artist, director, playwright, movement director and intimacy choreographer.
She received her BFA from Shenandoah Conservatory and landed in Chicago IL. During that time Jenny co-founded Li'l Buds Theatre Company (www.lilbudstheatre.org), a 501c3 children's theatre company, where she worked as Artistic Director, playwright, director and teaching artist, and she also taught in the Acting Program at The Second City. An accomplished actress, Jenny worked with a variety of theatre companies in Chicago where favorite roles include Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Kate in Taming of the Shrew and Alison et all in Trainspotting USA, and she was named one of 6 performers of note by Chris Jones the Chicago Tribune.
Jenny received her MFA in Ensemble Based Physical Theatre from Dell'Arte International and has taught Acting and Stage Movement at Monterey Peninsula College, University of Wisconsin-Madison and was most recently an Assistant Professor of Theatre and Director of Performance at Oklahoma State University (OSU).
Recent artistic credits include Movement Director and Intimacy Director of Argonautika, The Crucible, The Wedding Singer, Intimate Apparel, Six Characters in Search of an Author, Into the Woods, The 39 Steps and Tibet Through the Red Box. Directing credits include Stop Kiss, Charlotte’s Web and The Wolves. Recent performance credits include Mable in I Know I Can’t Be Mabel (film), Lin in The Great American Trailer Park Musical with Stages Repertory Theatre, Fraulein Kost in Cabaret with Obsidian Theatre Company in addition to Jenny Does Juice, an original one woman show created by Jenny as an homage to country singer Juice Newton and her 1983 album entitled ‘Juice’. www.jljennylamb.com
